Safe Neighborhoods

I am in favor of activities that provide needed resources to first responders, encourage crime prevention and ensure accountability for the safety of our entire community.

• Build relationships with peer cities that have been successful in reducing crime

• Assist organizations that make our communities more prepared, safer and healthier

• Strengthen neighborhood watch and fire safety programs

• Reduce neighborhood blight through code enforcement and real estate best practices

Strategic Growth

I will work with our leaders to maintain the elements that make LaGrange a special place. At the same time, address the complex business and residential challenges related to our City’s growth. 

• Support zoning ordinances that encourage traditional neighborhood characteristics 

• Champion policies related to attainable housing initiatives

• Establish protocol for citizen input and progress reports on large developments  

• Develop a revitalization campaign for the New Franklin Road and Commerce Road business districts

Strong Infrastructure

As Councilman, I will prioritize responsible investments in our infrastructure. Our quality of life, safety and sustainability will be central themes in the decisions I make. This approach is the best way to support both current and long term solutions.

• Support the allocation of resources to improve water quality and regularly communicate water improvement efforts

• Coordinate with regional and state transportation agencies to explore commuter transit options

• Encourage regular studies and communication of traffic analysis and best practices

• Explore fiscally responsible options for reinstating the curbside recycling program
